THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO SNEAKERS

Sneakers are no longer just for comfort. They’ve become such a big part of the fashion market that even big brands such as Gucci, Balenciaga, and Prada (to name a few) have their own versions. The comfy footwear makes it great for both skinny jeans and party dresses. Practicality and fashion are mixed together in the perfect way. Enjoy and let me know which are your favorites!
THE ICONIC SNEAKERS
We are all familiar with the classic and iconic shoes such as New Balance, Converse, Adidas, Puma, Reebok, Nike and finally Vans. The first sneakers were actually invented back in the 18th century. The first company opened its factory in 1876. During the 1940s to the 1960s younger generations started to wear sneakers for fashion instead of sports, and the rest is history. What better way to showcase the iconic sneakers from this era, than with a picture of the Stranger Things squad (yes I’m a huge fan of ST like so many others).

ICONIC
Here’s a collection below of the sneakers that has the same classic design as the 1970’s and 1980’s shoes. Band members of The Clash and the front figure of movies like Back To The Future and Grease, all wore the iconic shoes.

RETRO
Retro pieces are very trending at the moment, so I’ve gathered below shoes with a new take on the classic sneakers. One of which is a Stranger Things collab. Very suitable for the occasion.

Did you know: “Before shoes were made with rubber soles they had solid bottoms so were quite loud when walking. Sneakers got their name because when the user walked they wouldnβt make a sound, making it easy to sneak around.” – TheIdleMan
THE SLIP-ON SNEAKERS
They’re comfortable, fast and smart. Perfect for a busy lifestyle. If you have a basic wardrobe, you can choose a bold pair of shoes (colorful, ruffles, different material). Or perhaps go for a simple and minimalistic look. You are allowed to be picky with your footwear choices. And yes, they can go with your workwear whether it might be suits, dresses or casual.

Also, remember to take good care of your footwear. Do you know how to clean your sneakers? HighSNobiety will guide you.

THE ETHICAL SNEAKERS
Before we make a decision in life, we have to think about the consequences of this decision. Choose the ethical way, whenever you can. We should all act to have a greener mindset and lifestyle. I’ve gathered sustainable sneakers with a design that focuses on better (natural) solutions when it comes to footwear.
